Following on from our last local conference for Earwig Ambassadors in Winchester in November, this next conference is being held in Huntingdon, which is a short hop for schools and colleges in East Anglia, the Midlands and London areas, but also accessible for those a little further afield due to the transport links.
Our National and Local Earwig Conferences have been great successes and delegates agreed that it would be good idea to hold more ‘local’ get-togethers for Heads, Deputies, Assessment Coordinators, Earwig Admins, Earwig Ambassadors and other assorted keen Earwig-ites. These local conferences have a slightly different style from the National Conferences - a bit less glitzy and a bit more workshop-focused. Take a peek at the agenda below and you'll see what we'll get up to.
This conference will be held in the Delta Hotels by Marriott, in Huntingdon, which is a super-smart venue, very easy to get to, and with on-site parking. The conference ticket includes refreshments on arrival, during the morning and afternoon, and a networking lunch in the restaurant.
The event is held to:
The event will be hosted by Alex Hurle and Roland Bugler, who will be familiar to many of you, and who will focus on opportunities and issues that they are dealing with among the 150+ schools that they support. The draft schedule for the day is included below. There will be a lot to cover, as always, and you will get a CPD certificate at the end of it, to verify the hard work that you will put in.
You will need to make your own way to and from the conference venue.
We may ask you to do a very short interview, on video, to tell us about your Earwig experience.
We may video and photograph elements of the conference for training and promotional purposes.
